New OnePlus Nord 2 Unit Explodes, OnePlus Expresses Concerns

OnePlus says it regrets the case, though the firm has not clarified the incident’s reason.

OnePlus has resolved an individual who whined that his brand-new OnePlus Nord 2 system blew up within five days of use. As per the blog post on Twitter (currently removed), the mobile phone unit that seemingly belonged to the better half exploded when she went out biking early in the early morning.

The occurrence reportedly triggered an accident, and the spouses were in trauma, the message highlights. OnePlus states it regrets the occurrence, though the company has not made clear why the explosion.

In the tweet, OnePlus claimed, “We are gutted to find out about your experience. We are apprehensive and also wish to make it approximately you. We request you to connect to us over a straight message to ensure that we can make amends and transform this around for you.” This seems the only situation of damages reported until now. A close examination of the photos available on Twitter shows the OnePlus Nord 2 system significantly damaged near the battery location.

Another individual on Twitter mentioned that not using proprietary charger results in such an event. However, it continues to be uncertain whether the fault is from the manufacturing or the customer side. As mentioned, OnePlus is yet to make clear the root cause of the event.

To remember, the OnePlus Nord 2 is OnePlus’ very first smart device to feature a MediaTek processor as opposed to a Qualcomm-made chipset that powers all its various other mobiles. Its price in India begins at Rs 29,999 for the base 8GB RAM + 128GB storage design. Previously this year, a Redmi Note 9 Pro individual complained about a similar incident where the phone exploded within four months of use. Complying with the occurrence, Xiaomi had clarified to 91Mobiles that the reason for the case resulted from ‘customer-induced damage.’
